News of HTC building building 7 inch and 12 inch Windows RT Blue tablets came last year and now according to latest PhoneArena reports, a source has revealed some of the specifications of the upcoming tablets. Although there is no telling whether these details are legit, yet.
Codenamed as R7 and R12 respectively, these tablets are speculated to run on the highly talked Windows 8.1 (Blue) platform.
What About Specifications?
As per the leaked specifications The HTC R7, supposedly will come with 7 inch Full HD screen, a powerfull 2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 2 GB of RAM, 6 GB of internal memory with a microSD slot for expansion , 13 MP autofocus rear camera. The tablet is expected to come with connectivity features including HDMI, DLNA or NFC. Another version of the tablet, which will include LTE/HSPA connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS is also expected to be made available.
HTC R12 is expected to come with more or less the same specs, except for the 12 inch display, which is said to have 2048×1536 pixel resolution. There are details about the battery capacities of the two tablets currently, but the interesting news is the tablets could be released as early as October 13.
Meanwhile, the highly awaited Windows 8.1 update is expected to be released on June. Also, Microsoft is expected to release it's 7 inch tablets running on the new update in the same month. Looks like there going to be big battle for supremacy in the 7 inch tablet arena, somewhere around Q4 of 2013.
