Huawei MediaPad 10 Link Debuts in India At Rs 24,990: Specs, Price, Availability and More
Chinese major Huawei is seriously considering India its next big destination. As of now, the company hasn't come with break through devices in the market, but soon one could see some amazing products to be rolled out for Indian consumers.
The Ascend Mate 6.1 should go on sale early next month. While the Huawei Ascend D2 is also expected to be announced sometime June end. Talking about tablets, the China based tech giant has failed to ignite consumer's interest.
In the low end category Indian tech vendor Micromax is among the most visible player. Even Lava tried its best with E-Tab Xtron. In the coming days Huawei will be coming up with its first quad-core based Android tablet in the Indian market. The MediaPad 10 Link tablet is now being listed on Flipkart. It should be made available to consumers at a price point of Rs. 24,990 around first week of June, as per the listing. Its arrival date is still not confirmed. Let's have a look at its features and specifications.

Huawei MediaPad 10 Link Tablet - Key Aspects
Display and Aesthetics
The MediaPad 10 Link packs a 10.1-inch IPS LCD capacitive display with resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The screen size is perfect to view HD movies .Thankfully the folks over at Huawei have gone for aluminum styled metal body instead of plastic polycarbonate chassis. The presence of dual speakers with Dolby surround should be above the class.
It's always better to have large display if you want to use the tablet for entertainment purpose. At 24, 990, Huawei should have gone for Full HD panel. If you are looking to buy a 7-inch tablet instead of 10-inch one then go for Nexus 7. It costs Rs.15, 990, however, the screen size is not 10-inch one. The device offers stock Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
Processor, RAM and ROM
If you are into gaming then always go for better equipped device. It's not that dual-core processor are not capable to handle intense graphics. Check out Lava E-tab Xtron review. The Huawei MediaPad 10 Link comes with 1.2GHz Hisilicon K3V2 Cortex-A9 Quad Core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. On paper, the internal specifications are pretty much okay, but the real test starts when the device arrives in our lab. There is a built in 16GB of ROM (Read Only Memory) which can be further expanded up to 32GB through microSD cards.
Operating systems (0S) and Camera
This very tablet uses Android 4.1 Jelly Bean in comparison to Nexus 7, which comes with stock Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Today India based Lava International has announced the arrival of India's first Android 4.2 Jelly Bean tablet called Xtron Plus. The newer version new comes with front facing camera besides 3,700mAh battery. At Rs.6, 990, it's not a bad deal. Always choose the latest version of OS, especially, if you are looking to buy Android based tablet.
The MediaPad 10 Link has two cameras-one on the rear and other on the front. A 3MP rear camera does not offer Auto Focus facility along with VGA quality front facing camera have been provided by the manufacturer.
Connectivity options
In the name of connectivity options, the MediaPad 10 Link offers Wi-Fi, 3G, A-GPS, Bluetooth 3.0 and a 6600mAh battery fitted inside. At 9.9mm thick, the device indeed looks slim. But the price quoted by Flipkart is not worthy.
It would be great if Huawei announce this tablet under Rs. 20,000. Stay tuned to GizBot.
