Huawei has recently announced their latest tablet offering for the world featuring 7 inch standard display called MediaPad 7 Youth. The successor of the MediaPad 7 Vogue which went on sale less than a month ago is in fact an addition to Huawei's popular MediaPad tablet series.
The tablet that comes with an aluminum metal unibody measures 9.9mm thin and weighs 350g. Going by the specifications, the Huawei MediaPad 7 Youth comes packed with a 7-inch capacitive 10-point touchscreen display that also offers a 1080p full HD video playback functionality.
MediaPad 7 Youth is powered by a dual-core processor clocked to 1.6GHz and powerful GPU. The latest Huawei tablet runs on Android version 4.1 Jelly bean platform.
Connectivity options on HUAWEI MediaPad 7 Youth include HSPA+ (up to 21Mbps) and Wi-Fi connections, as well as voice calling, SMS, and MMS.
Eventually the MediaPad 7 Youth is powered by a 4100mAh Li-Polymer battery that provides almost two weeks of standby time. As informed, reportedly, the MediaPad 7 Youth will be available in Russia, China, Asia Pacific, Middle East including India and Europe in Q3, this year.
Although there is no clear information of the price of the tablet, most of the speculations suggest that the MediaPad 7 Youth will come at the price close to $150 or $170 tops (ie. approximately Rs. 9,000 to Rs. 10,000).
However, there is a growing population of the 7 inch budget friendly tablets in the global market and thus it is leading to a very tough competition. Moreover, with the coming up of the tablets with more display resolution, better processor and RAM along with the other aspects, the tablet market now offers a variety of options to the consumers.
From low end to mid range and high end, the tablet these days come in all respective categories. While taking about Indian tablet market in the budget friendly category, MediaPad 7 Youth will face a tough battle from domestic manufacturers which have already been ruling the category including Micromax, HCL and Karbonn among others.
