iBall Slide 3G 8072 Tablet Up For Sale at Rs. 11,999: Top 5 Competitors
Recently Simmtronics launched its XPAD Freedom, a voice-calling Android tablet at Rs 13,999 in the Indian market. Following this, iBall has put up its new Slide 3G 8072 tablet for sale on Flipkart at Rs. 11,999. However the company has not formally launched the device at the moment.
Lets take a look at the specs of the tablet:
iBall's Slide 3G 8072 tablet comes with an 8-inch multi-touch capacitive touch screen display offering a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels.
The device is powered by a dual-core Cortex A9 processor clocked to 1 GHz and it runs on Android Jelly Bean v4.1. It is also supported by 1GB RAM.
Moving on to camera, it has a 2-megapixel rear camera and a front-facing shooter as well. The slate houses 4GB internal storage capacity which can be expanded up to 32 GB.
It has 3G support via a SIM card slot and has voice calling capabilities. Other connectivity options include WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, aGPS and USB OTG. Interestingly, the tablet also comes with a Dual SIM (3G + 3G) support. It is powered by a 4000 mAh battery.
When it comes to competition, devices like BSNL Penta T-Pad WS802C DC, Simmtronics Xpad X802, Byond Mi-book Mi8, Micromax Canvas Tab P650 and XOLO QC800 will surely stand against the newly launched Slide 3G 8072. All the above mentioned devices are 8 inch tablets and most of them are easily more affordable in comparision.

BSNL Penta T-Pad WS802C DC
BSNL Penta T-Pad WS802C DC comes with an 8-inch LCD Multi-touch Capacitive Screen display and it runs on Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) Operating System. The device is powered by a Cortex A8 Processor clocked to 1.2 GHz and is also supported by a 1 GB DDR3 RAM. There is a 2 MP Primary Camera and 0.3 MP Secondary shooter incorporated in the device. It houses an 8GB internal memory which can be further extended up to 32GB via microSD card. When it comes to connectivity options it includes, SIM Slot with GPRS, Wi-Fi, or a dongle, WiFi Hot-Spot. It is powered by 5000 mAh Lithium Polymer battery.
Simmtronics Xpad X802
The device comes loaded with 8-inch TFT LCD Capacitive Touchscreen display and runs on Android v4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS. It is powered by 1.2 GHz Cortex-A8 Multi-core Processor coupled with 512 MB DDR3 RAM. There is a presence of 2 MP Primary Camera and 0.3 MP Secondary shooter in the device. The tablet also houses 8GB internal storage capacity which can be further enhanced up to 32GB using microSD card. When it comes to connectivity, WiFi, 3G, GPRS and EDGE comes handy with the device. The tablet is also supported by a single SIM slot. It draws its power from a 4000 mAh battery which gives a standby time of 200 hrs and 4 hrs of browsing time.
Byond Mi-book Mi8
This tablet comes with an 8-inch TFT LCD Capacitive Touchscreen display offering a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixel. It runs on Android v4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS and is powered by a 1.2 GHz Cortex-A9 Dual Core processor coupled with 1 GB DDR3 to give you speed and power. There is a 2 megapixel rear camera and a VGA 0.3 megapixel secondary camera incorporated in the device.
The device houses 4 GB internal storage capacity which can be further expanded up to 32GB using microSD card. Connectivity options include USB, Bluetooth, 3G, WiFi and WiFi hotspot. However there is also a single SIM support in the device as well. It is powered by a 4000 mAh Lithium - Ion battery.
Micromax Canvas Tab P650
The tablet comes with the same 8-inch Capacitive Touchscreen IPS display offering a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. It runs on Android v4.2.1 (Jelly Bean) OS and is powered by 1.2 GHz Quad Core Processor coupled with 1 GB DDR3 RAM. When it comes to imaging, there is a 5 MP rear camera and 2 MP front facing shooter present in the device. The device houses 11.07 GB user memory and 1.73 GB for Apps which can also be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. Connectivity options include 3G, microUSB, Bluetooth and GPS. The device draws its power from a 4800 mAh Lithium-Ion battery.
Xolo QC800
Xolo QC800 also features 8-inch Capacitive Touchscreen display offering a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. The tablet runs on Android v4.1 (Jelly Bean) OS and is powered by 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 8225Q Quad Core Processor coupled with 1 GB RAM. Moving on to imaging the device also houses a 2 MP rear camera and 0.3 MP Secondary shooter. Internal storage capacity comes at 4GB which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. Connectivity options include WiFi, MicroUSB, Bluetooth and 3G and there is also a SIM card slot present in the tablet. It draws its energy from a 4000 mAh Lithium - Polymer battery.
