Talking about the competiton, Intex has also recently launched their Intex i-Buddy Connect 2 3G tablet featuring 7 inch display. If internaltional brands are to be named, there are Samsung Tab 2, Samsung Tab 3, Lenovo Idea Tab A1000, Asus Fonepad, and many more.

However, looking at the lastest arrivals, Intex i-Buddy Connect 2 3G could possibly be a stout rival to the newly launched iBall Slide i9018. Thus GizBot has come up with the comparative rundown on the specs of both tablets.

Display

The iBall Slide i9018 tablet comes with 9 inch HD screen that offers a resolution of 1024×600 pixels. While the Intex i-Buddy Connect 2 3G houses a 7-inch capacitive touch display providing resolution of 800 x 400 pixels. The difference in the screen size may not hold meaning in this comparison but the resolution surely does, thus it is quite clear that the latest iBall Slide i9018 has a better resolution.

OS, Processor and RAM

iBall Slide i9018 imressively runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and is powered by an 1GHz dual-core Cortex A7 processor and 1GB RAM. Moreover, there is a Mali 400 GPU also backing the 9 inch tablet. On the other hand, i-Buddy Connect 2 3G is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor coupled with a lesser 512MB RAM. The tablet also has a drawback of running on older version of Android 4.0 ICS. Thus, the cliche "bigger the better" is getting along with the comparison.

Camera

Both 9 inch iBall Slide i9018 and 7 inch Intex i-Buddy Connect 2 3G comes packed with dual cameras, a 2-megapixel rear camera and VGA front facing shooter. Thus camerwise there is no difference at all.

Connectivity

iBall Slide i9018 comes with the wide range of connectivity features like Bluetooth, HDMI port for linking to TV and projectors, USB dongles for faster 3G connectivity. Intex i-Buddy Connect 2 3G has an advantage on this segment as it comes with single SIM facility with 3G voice calling enabled. The tablet supports 3G/2G connectivity and misses on 3G dongle support. However there is a presence of Wi-Fi, GPS and USB 2.0.

Storage

iBall Slide i9018 features an internal storage capacity of 8GB that is also supported by a microSD card slot whcih supports up to 32GB. On the other hand, Intex i-Buddy Connect 2 3G comes with a lesser internal storage capacity of 4GB but luckily, it can also go up to 32GB via microSD card.

Battery

There is a monster battery powering the iBall Slide i9018, it has 5000mAh Lithium-ion battery while the other one Intex i-Buddy Connect 2 3G, is powered by a standard 3000mAh Li Ion battery.

Price

iBall Slide i9018 is priced at Rs. 9,990 while the Intex i-Buddy Connect 2 3G is available at Rs. 7,500 in the Indian market. Thus there is a bit of advantage to the 7 Inch one as it comes with the lesser price.

Conclusion

After haveing a quick rundown, it is clear that iBall Slide i9018 has a better specs but lacks voice calling facility however, it comes with a 3G Dongle support. Moreover, looking at the price, both fall in a same range but again if the budget demands less and if one wants it to use as a phone one can go with the Intex i-Buddy Connect 2 3G while internet surfers and gamers can opt for iBall Slide i9018.
