iPad 5 Front Panel Leaks Ahead of WWDC 2013: Reveals Thinner Bezel, iPad Mini Like Design
Apple made a mark with iPad range of tablets. The first gen iPad was announced by late Steve Jobs. Since then Apple managed to sell millions of iPads. The iPad 4 is still being recognized as world's most popular and best rated tablet device. Google, who dominates in the smartphone world with Android mobile OS hasn't created hysteria as Apple managed to do so in the tablet category. But for the past few months even tech giant like Apple failed to create a solid connection with consumers, and all of the sudden iPad has lost its sheen.
With more and more consumers are willing to spend their hard bucks on cheaper Android powered tablets; the Tim Cook managed company is indeed in a trouble. To counter low cost army, the Cupertino-based tech giant announced iPad Mini, a 7.9-inch tablet. The initial response was not good, but now consumers are coming to Apple stores to purchase Rs. 21,990 priced tablet device. The Mini now accounts 60% of Apple's tablet share in the last few quarters. In the coming months Apple would announce updated iPad range.

The coming of iPad 5 and the iPad Mini II is not surprising. Both hidden gems are slated to announce sometime later this year. Now a Chinese blog Apple.pro is reporting an alleged picture of iPad 5 with thinner bezels and a much wider display. Industry insiders believe that Apple will debut iPad 5 along with iPad Mini 2 after iPhone 5S launch.
The iPad Mini 2 will feature same 7.9-inch display with resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. AU Optronics is rumored to start production in June- July time frame. The coming of iOS 7 on board is also confirmed, as Apple plans to unveil much improved version at WWDC 2013. On the other hand, iPad 5 is said to be thinner and toned down just like the first gen iPad Mini. Another rumor says that Sharp has been hired to manufacture iPad 5 displays. The much hyped IGZO display technology might be used by the manufacturer. Stay tuned to GizBot.
