iPad 5 announcement is around the corner. After much hype surrounding latest leaks, another possible alleged render informs that Apple could announce the much improved iPad 5 on June 18, 2013. Interestingly, Apple is all set to hold World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) this year in the month of June.
The iPad 5 announcement should be around at the time WWDC, as per new reports. In news, the alleged case of iPad 5 has been leaked online. The case surfaced somewhere far east, and then later picked up by Tactus.com. So, going by the images, it appears that the next-generation iPad 5 will sports narrower bezel, similar to what Apple has done with iPad Mini.
The display size remains the same i.e. 9.7-inches. The new iPad 5 is said to be slimmer, and sharper just like the current gen iPad Mini. In terms of depth also, it will be similar to iPad Mini. It is also being speculated that both iPad 5 and iPad Mini, will be announced at June 18 event. The information could be true because Apple has plans to reveal iOS 7 around WWDC. Since the beginning of the year, the alleged case leak of the iPad Mini also reached internet shores.
The iPad Mini 2 is said to have same 7.9-inch display, but this time around, it will have Retina Display. Some even speculate that if Apple uses Retain Display to power up iPad Mini 2 then the cost factor could be a big worry. As per one estimate( via Digitimes , it could add 30 per cent to component costs, and makes it tough to sell the device in countries like India and China, where Apple has just realized how critical these markets are for growth. Apple India currently sells iPad Mini (16GB) for Rs.21, 900.

The Apple iPad 5 will look similar to iPad Mini in terms of design, and ergonomics. Apple has tested success with the current gen iPad Mini, and it makes sense to stream lime current lineup.
