Jolla Tablets With More Storage, Sailfish OS Returns to Indiegogo
The Jolla Tablet was a major success on Indiegogo during its first appearance, raising $1.2 million (approx Rs. 1,000,000) in just two days, and $1.8 million (approx Rs 5,0,00,000) in total. But it's already back for a second go - this time with a bigger battery, twice as much internal storage, and other improvements.
The Jolla Tablet is the world's first device powered by Sailfish OS, and while you may think its brand new operating system might make a few people wary, it has already been immensely popular. That's largely thanks to its specifications and price tag.

The slate comes with a 7.9-inch display with a sharp 2048×1536 resolution, a 1.8GHz quad-core Intel processor, and 2GB of RAM. It also has the ability to run Android apps, kind of like BlackBerry 10.
The original, 32GB Jolla Tablet which is priced at $219 (approx Rs 13599) has a 4,300mAh battery and support for microSD cards up to 64GB in size. The new 64GB model which costs $249 (approx Rs 15462) has a 4,450mAh battery, a fully laminated display, and a gyroscope and compass sensors.

The new model also supports microSD card slots up to 128GB in size, but there is a slight catch.
"Due to Microsoft's licensing limitation, cards over 32GB, that are formatted in Jolla Tablet, will not be readable with Windows computers or devices that advertise microSDXC support (cameras/phones/tablets)," Jolla explains. That's because the company has not licensed Microsoft's exFAT for Sailfish OS, but that should be too much of an issue for most.
Despite the changes, Jolla Tablet is still on schedule to begin shipping by the end of May for June delivery. Right now, Jolla is serving the U.S., Canada, Australia, the U.K., Norway, Switzerland, India, China, Hong Kong, and Russia.
