Exclusive: Lava 3G Voice Calling 7 Inch Android ICS Tablet To Launch This Week
While, Micromax is mum these days, as the manufacturer is busy tackling the production and supply issues of Canvas HD, other tech vendors in India are coming out with killer devices to dent the market. Lava being one of them is surely on a roll. While, the NCR based tech firm is already making news every week for its Friday Blockbuster mobile launches, with the success of their last hit E Tab Xtron tablet, the company is soon to come with the successor of the tablet.
Yes! It's confirmed. This exclusive news has been shared by the top honcho at Lava International. Gizbot has got to know that the company is indeed ready to announce their first 3G voice calling tablet. While, the name of the tablet was not revealed by the offical, however, it was informed that the 7-inch tablet will hit the market this week itself.

Lava official further revealed that the upcoming tablet will be an addition to the current E Tab range. Expect this device to sell at around Rs 9,500. Moreover, the soon-to-be-launched 3G voice calling tablet will boast a 7-inch WVGA display, 1GHz single core processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of ROM ( expandable), a 2-mega pixel rear camera and VGA ready front facing camera, Wi-Fi and Android 4.1 ICS. The tablet will be diving in to the market on either sixth or seventh of this month.
Incidentally, the folks over at Lava, have gone for same tried tested strategy, adopted by Micromax for its 3G voice calling tablet. Micromax, an arch rival of Lava, has already announced their 3G voice calling tablet known by the name of Funbook 3G P600. The 3G ready tablet from Micromax currently sells for Rs 9,499. It would be great to see two rivals fighting to grab consumer's mind with their respective "3G" offerings.

The Micromax Funbook 3G P600 is a 3G voice calling tablet, with inbuilt 1GHz dual core processor. The device has a 7-inch display, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of ROM (expandable), 2MP rear camera, Android 4.0 ICS, and weighs 370grams. The device sells for Rs 9,499 in the Indian market.
Going by the specifications, both mentioned tablets come with similar looking specifications. The 3G ready tablet from Micromax houses dual core processor when pit against single core ducked Lava 3G tablet. Even the pricing would be on a same level.
