Lava E-Tab Velo+ is powered by a 1 GHz Cortex A8 single core processor and is supported by Mali 400 GPU. The device also runs on Android 4.2. The tablet comes with a low RAM of 512 MB and the internal storage capacity is rated at 4 GB which can me further extended up to 32 GB using a microSD card.

The tablet supports 3G via external dongle and other connectivity features include WiFi, microUSB and 3.5 mm audio jack.

Lava E-Tab Velo+ comes with a front facing VGA camera but lacks a rear camera.

The battery capacity is also moderate at 2500 mAh.

Couple of days back, HCL also launched their latest low end tablet called ME U3 at Rs. 5,449. Thus this latest tablet from Lava could possible be the direct competition to the HCL tablet. However, both the tablets come with the similar specs and at the given price point one can hardly have anything to complain about any part of the device.
