GizBot is back with yet some explosive news. The folks over at Lava are hiding a secret, and as usual our team managed to receive this hidden information. Well, the NCR based Indian tech vendor is now planning to announce successor to mighty Xtron tablet. The word came from a senior executive working for Lava International. In a telephonic response, the senior executive revealed that Lava is ready with a tablet that would be similar to the E-Tab Xtron device.

The upcoming tablet should be made available to the consumers in the first week of May, and would be priced under Rs. 10,000. However, the company neither declined to comment upon the design philosophy behind the device nor wished to speak about the pricing. As per our estimates, it should be priced anywhere between Rs. 6,600 - Rs. 7,499 in the market. Interestingly, the tablet will be India's first Android 4.2 Jelly Bean powered device, once it launches in the retail market.

Talking about the internal specifications, the device will boast a 7-inch IPS(unconfirmed) display, 1.5-GHz dual core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage (expandable), a 2-mega pixel rear shooter on the back, VGA quality front facing camera, Wi-Fi only, HDMI and 3,700mAh battery fitted inside.

The tablet should be comparable to the first generation E-tab Xtron tablet. As per our source, Lava will highlight the long battery life associated with the tablet. Another cool feature of the upcoming device has to be Android 4.2 Jelly Bean inside. Last month, Asus has come up with the Nexus 7 at Rs. 15,999 (16GB), which also features 4.2 Jelly Bean mobile OS.

This is not the end to this story. The senior executive also shared that in the month of June, the tech vendor is planning to launch multiple quad core tablets across different screen sizes. Some would be priced under Rs. 10,000 depending upon the display size.

The original E-Tab Xtron had performed excellently in our tests. The device which retails for Rs. 6,499 is priced right considering it carries a 7-inch IPS display with resolution of 1,024 X 600, dual core processor, 1GB of RAM, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 8GB of internal memory, a 2-mega pixel front facing camera, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
