Mitashi has recently launched an electronic product directed towards kids. It comes in the form of a tablet dubbed as the Sky Tab 2 and falls under its Skykidz brand.

Mitashi Sky Tab 2 Android Tablet For Kids Launched for Rs 6,999

The Mitashi Sky Tab 2 is priced at Rs. 6,999 and would be available at all leading Toys & Electronic stores and also across various e-commerce platforms across India. However, the tablet is being sold at a discounted price of Rs. 5,899 via several e-commerce sites. It is also listed on Flipkart.

Mitashi Sky Tab 2: Key Specifications

The Mitashi Sky Tab 2 sports a 7-inch display with a 1024x600 pixel resolution and is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. It runs on runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box. The Sky Tab 2 features 8GB of built-in storage that can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. It also boasts of a 2-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing snapper for taking pictures. The tablet supports Wi-Fi and is powered by a 3300mAh battery.

The firm also mentions that the tablet is especially made for kids who are above 2 years. Thus, Mitashi Sky Tab 2 comes with 27 preloaded kid-friendly applications, apart from a parental control feature. Parents can block certain websites, filter search for content on the web, and can even monitor the use of the tabet.

Adnan Chara, Vice President, Gaming, Toys & Telecom, Mitashi Edutainment said in a press statement about the launch, "Sky Tabs are a great learning resource for children nowadays, who are so comfortable with technology from a very tender age. It's loaded with a world of information at their fingertips. The Sky Tab 2 is India's first dual-core, dual camera Android Tab made just for kids. True to our name, we are sure that this will be loved by kids and trusted by parents."

But it should be noted that the tablet is not the first one to cater to the kids. It all started with the introduction of the DreamTab back in January and In India, back in January this year, an educational startup Metis Learning launched similar tablet with Android 4.2 called Eddy.
