Looks like Chinese player Lenovo has lot of show off at this year's Mobile World Congress (MWC). The other day, we had informed you that Lenovo will unveil slew of tablets and smartphones at the MWC 2014.
Today, the company officially announced as many as three smartphones under its S series including S660, S850 and S860 along with an upgraded version of Yoga Tab 10 tablet in the event which took place in Barcelona, Spain.
Lenovo's new product lineup will hit select International markets in coming days to come. There's no update on when new devices will hit Indian market. For the meantime, let's have a detailed look at respective products announced by Lenovo at the Mobile World Congress (MWC), 2014.
The Lenovo S660 is a cheap and affordable Android-powered handset designed to woo emerging markets such as India and China. The phone's specs are fairly basic. The S660's 4.7-inch IPS display has a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. The device houses a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be expandable via a microSD card slot.
There's an 8MP rear-facing camera and a VGA quality front-facing camera. The phone does come with a removable back cover and dual SIM support. Lenovo says the handset will hit select markets in June this year. The Lenovo S660 is priced at $229 (Rs. 14,000 approximately) in select markets.
To be made available in White and Pink, the Lenovo S850 comes with a 5-inch 720p HD display, a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage (expandable), and a 2,000mAh battery.
The phone runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. There's a 13MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. The Lenovo S850 will retail at a price point of $269 (Rs. 16,000 approximately) in select markets.
The S860, in particular, is being priced on a higher side. The phone features a 5.3-inch IPS display having a resolution of 720p HD. It incorporates a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, an 8MP rear-facing camera, 1.5MP front-facing camera, 16GB of internal storage, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and a 4,000mAh battery fitted inside. Moreover, all three phones come with dual-SIM support and 3G connectivity.
The new "Yoga Tablet 10 HD+", will compete neck-to-neck with number of Windows- powered tablets available in the market. This 10-inch HD tablet comes with a Full HD (1920 x 1200) resolution, a 1.6GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, an 8MP rear-facing camera and 1.6MP front-facing camera.
The makers have added a 9,000mAh battery inside, rated to deliver up to 18 hours of battery life on a single charge. The Yoga Tablet 10 HD+ will be made available in April with price starting at $349 (Rs. 21,682 approximately).
