The Nexus 10 2 was supposed to be launched around Christmas last year, but it didn't happen. But now, the Nexus 2 could be announced sooner than expected, since the original Nexus 10 ran out of the stock last week.

At the same time, the purported device got leaked online recently, indicating that the second generation Nexus 10 exists in reality. Yes, a new photo leak from Twitter sensation @evleaks account hinted that the Nexus 10 2 will be manufactured by Samsung.

However, @evleaks wasn't able to confirm the authenticity of the alleged press render. The leakster has taken down the tweet with the image and alleged specs. So the udate is that the alleged press shot caught red handed was actually a hoax and nothing else.

Nexus 10 2 latest Leak Details Proved to be Fake

As per the leak, it was assumed that the South Korean giant Samsung will make this year's 10-inch Nexus branded tablet having a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. Further, the tablet is said to be stuffed with Exynos 5 processor, backed by 3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of internal memory under the hood. Also, the Nexus 10 2 is expected to have a 5MP rear-facing camera, and a 3MP front-facing shooter respectively.

Apparently as per the latest report, the new Nexus 10 is said to run the Android 4.5 out of the box. But in the end, with @evleaks taking down the tweet, it all remains a mystery.

Earlier this year, according to a leaked report, the Nexus 10 2 might launched powered by NVIDIA's latest Tegra K1 processor, instead of Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC. That being said, we will still have to wait and watch for the next update related to Nexus 10 successor.
