The word on the street is that Apple is almost ready to debut at WWDC in the month of June. Reports say that the next-version of iPad will be similar looking to the iPad Mini: the hottest selling tablet device at present. The countdown to the coming of iPad 5 is picking up pace with less than 60 days to go. Here comes another juicy rumor from the same source (via Tactus), who has been sharing all notorious gossip going around the iPad 5 since past few days.
A new report from Tactus says that the upcoming iPad 5 is said to be less deep than the current generation model – iPad 4. The alleged image of the rear case is believed to be of iPad 5. In terms of design aesthetics, it can be compared with the iPad Mini. The outer shell is made from aluminum with thinner bezels. The report further says that Apple still want to stick with a 9.7-inch Retina display. This time around, the Cupertino-based giant will try in incorporating a powerful processor – A7X. With the coming of Quad-Core based processor; the next-generation iPad 5 should be as strong as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3. While the author of the blog post stressed hard on Sharp’s IGZO based display technology. If Apple goes for Sharp’s IGZO display then do expect slimmer LED backlight as well.
“Apple are finally supposed to be using IGZO displays with their retina resolution screen, which means a thinner iPad is definitely on the cards. IGZO displays use up to 90% less power than previous generation iPad displays, which means a smaller battery that reduces the overall weight and thickness”.
The Apple designed iPad 5 will have a 9.7-inch Retina Display, A7X processor, Quad-Core GPU, new improved iOS 7 mobile OS, iRadio, 16GB/32GB/64GB/128GB of internal memory, an 8-mega pixel rear camera with LED Flash, a 2-mega pixel front facing camera with 1080p HD recording, NFC, Wi-Fi, 3G, 4G LTE, 2GB of RAM, and standard battery inside. The device will be priced at $499 [Rs.27, 123] for 16GB version. Stay tuned to GizBot.
