A new company ventures forth into the world of tablets. There have been, quite a few of them in recent times, isn't it? Local manufactures Salora, a distinguished TV brand, enters the tablet race, by launching there two new devices Salora Pro Tab and Salora Pro.

Salora Pro Tab which runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich has a 7 inch WVGA 800 x 480 pixel resolution display, 1.5 GHz dual core processor, 512 MB RAM, a 0.3 megapixel front camera, inbuilt memory of 4 GB and a3200 mAh battery. The tablet is priced at Rs 4,999
Salora Pro Tab HD
Salora Pro Tab HD which runs on Android 4.0 Jelly Bean comes with a 7 inch WVGA 1280 x 600 pixel resolution display, 1.2 GHz processor, 1 GB RAM a 0.3 megapixel front camera, inbuilt memory of 4 GB and a 3200 mAh battery. The tablet is priced at Rs 5,499
Both devices don't have a rear camera and support, Wi-Fi only.

Funbook Alpha
Funbook Alpha runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and has a 7 inch capacitive touch screen display unit with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, 1 GHz processor, 0.3 mega pixel VGA front facing camera, 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of internal memory, expandable up to 32 GB with microSD card slot and a 2800mAh battery. The tablet also has connectivity features like 3G, Wi-fi, USB 2.0, and HDMI.
Judging by the specs Salora Pro Tab has a more powerful processor of the lot and Salora Pro Tab HD is overall a better specifications compared to others. However, the Salora tablets lack the connectivity features that other tablets have. Non-the-less, they pack enough to be given a second thought about and might be able to fare well in the market.
