Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 T211 Hands on Review: Designed To Be Battery Efficient!
Samsung, the most desirable brand, when it comes to tablet devices has come out to be the only successful Android rival against Apple iPads till now. Recently, the South Korean tech titian came up with a fair performing medium priced slate Galaxy Tab 3 T211.
This 7-inch wonder might not be the best tablet available in the market, but it does have a long lasting battery life, enough for a student to execute day-to-day operations. Priced at Rs.16,499, this very tablet could have been better, if Samsung had worked upon reducing the weight, which is 308 grams.
But of course, Samsung Tab 3 T211 is a remarkable multimedia device and it comes with built-in 3G connectivity plus voice-calling facility, making it a decent alternative to high end smartphones.
GizBot used Samsung's newest 7-inch Tab 3 tablet for a week and below is our review on the 7-incher from the house of Samsung.

Design, Display and aesthetics
Samsung has its own take on the way a tablet should be made. So yes, there is a vast difference between Apple iPad Mini and Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 T211. We're not opposing Samsung neither praising Apple. Nonetheless, Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 T211 is too simple. It's very basic and clean looking tablet.
We cannot ignore the fact that Galaxy Tab 3 T211 is targeted at student community. So keeping the design in mind, Samsung has done justice with the build quality. The bezel is now thinner, making it really light in weight at 306 grams. However, in reality, the device feels heavy and bulky. If you are into reading, then you would be disappointed to some extent.
Meanwhile, Samsung has done a brilliant job in making the tablet design supreme. Although the tablet is still made of so-called bendable plastic, however; the aluminum finishing around the edges looks impeccable.
On the front side of the tablet, you'll a front facing camera placed alongside earpiece. Under the display, Samsung has placed a traditional physical home button in the center accompanying standard capacitive Android buttons. The power button, volume rocker key and a microphone for noise cancellation are situated on the right-hand side. There's a 3.5 mm headphone back is situated on the top of the tablet device. You'll notice a microSIM slot and an external memory card slot placed, on the left-hand side. The bottom of the tablet has two speakers built-in and another microphone.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 T211 also has a 3-mega pixel rear facing camera placed at the back. With minimum on branding, we still have to say "it's a Samsung product after all". There are some issues attached with Galaxy Tab 3 T211, for instance, the weight of device is one big factor.
While we are quite positive about the design, but the same cannot be said about the display. Viewing angles is not an issue with the device; rather disappointing resolution is the biggest culprit. And Samsung cannot ignore this fact that the tablet has a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. More or less colors are washed out.
The situation is intolerable, when you unable to read texts under the direct under sunlight. Samsung need to know that, if a tablet like Galaxy Tab 3 T211 is meant for students, then by any means the display quality should be superior; even though one can compromise on the build quality.
