Although Samsung has failed to meet its estimated profit in the last quarter, the company is still trying to come up with a best possible plan to over-rule it within this quarter itself. One of the tickets that the company has in hand is the tablet range, Galaxy TabPro and NotePro, which were launched earlier this year at the International Consumer Electronics Show in January.
Now with regards to the upcoming Mobile World Congress, the South Korean heavy-weight tech firm is also said to reveal one more tablet, the Galaxy Tab 4. The report which comes from ZDnet cites local sources who claim that the Galaxy Tab 4 will be launched at the same MWC 2104 alongside the highly expected Galaxy S5 smartphone and the second generation of the Galaxy Gear smartwatch.
Talking about the Galaxy Tab 4, earlier leaks suggest that the device will be unveiled in three variants depending on the size. To be more precise, the 7 inches, 8 inches, and 10.1 inches Galaxy Tab 4 tablets were also reportedly said to come with a model name SM-T530 / SM-T531 / SM-T535 (Galaxy Tab 4 10.1), SM-T330 / SM-T331 / SM-T335 (Galaxy Tab 4 8.0), and SM-T230 / SM-T231 / SM-T235 (Galaxy Tab 4 7.0). Also all these tablets will run on Android KitKat version of Operating System.
Talking about the specs, the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is rumored to come in either Wi-Fi-only, 3G and LTE variants with an LCD display (1280×800) along with quad-core 1.2GHz processor, 1GB or 1.5GB (LTE only) of RAM, 3 MP and 1.3 MP cameras, 16GB of internal storage, microSD slot supporting up to 64GB and a 6800mAh battery. The Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 could come in Wi-Fi and 3G variants, 8GB internal storage and 4450mAh battery. And the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 is rumored to feature Wi-Fi, 3G and LTE variants. It is expected to be powered by the same 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB RAM, 16GB internal memory with microSD slot and higher resolution cameras (8 MP and 3 MP).
Since the sources close to the ZDnet have also said that even the Galaxy Gear 2 will be annoucned at the same day, lets talk a bit about it as well. This time the smartwatch is reportedly said to come with a an advanced functionality and a revamped design. PhoneArena says that the wearable device will come with a flexible OLED display and also speculates it to be an affordable one compared to its predecessor. Sadly, there is hardly any details pertaining to its specs and features.
However, since the MWC 2014 is just around the corner, all shall be revealed then. Until then, stay tuned to GizBot!
