Sony Xperia Tablet Z Pegged for Mid April Release: All That You Need To Know

Back in January at CES 2013, the tech world was sizzled with the launch of Xperia Tablet Z alongside the Xperia Z smartphone, which has already hit the retail shelves in many countries including India.

However, the tablet has not been released in any market except for its hometown Japan. Now, it seems that the Japanese tech giant is all set to release the Android tablet into several market very soon. Already at the Mobile World Congress 2013, Sony revealed its launch plans for Xperia Tablet Z claiming that the tablet will be available globally in Q2 2013.

According to a report by XperiaBlog, Xperia Tablet Z is listed by Sony's UK site for pre-order. Both the 16GB and 32GB Wi-Fi variants of the tablet are available for pre-order. As per the listing, the ordered tablets will be shipped sometime between April 12 and April 15 and costs £399 (approx. Rs 33,000) and £449 (approx. Rs 37,000) respectively.


Claimed to be the slimmest tablet launched so far, Xperia Z tablet measures 6.9 mm in thickness and packs a 10.1 inch Reality Display with a full HD screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, 1.5GHz quad core processor, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, 8MP Exynos R rear camera, 2MP front camera for video chatting, 16GB/32GB onboard storage, 2GB RAM, a micro SD card slot supporting expandable storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, LTE and a 6,000 mAh battery.
