As per researches on the current tablet market and the consumers' requirements, the 10 inch Android tablets have accounted for four in every ten devices shipped.

Further, Strategy Analytics group recently claimed that Android market share has increased from 29.1% market share in Q3 2011 to 41.3% in the same period 2012.

Reportedly, the main reason for the increase in the Android tablet market share is due to the launch of Google Nexus 7, Amazon Kindle Fire and a slew of other tablets introduced by numerous manufacturers across the globe.

Moreover, adding to the same, software giant Google has launched the Samsung made Nexus 10 in October and hence, the Android market share would have increased in the latest quarter as well.

One such company is Spice Mobiles known as S Mobility, which has recently stepped into the tablet market with its first Android 4.1 Jelly Bean tablet offering - Stellar Pad Mi1010 with a price tag of Rs 12,999.

Battery: While Stellar Pad is loaded with a 7,600 mAh battery delivering up to 6 hours video playback and 15 days standby, Smart Tab 10 is powered by a 6,000 mAh battery of undisclosed backup.

Price: Spice Stellar Pad and Karbonn Smart Tab 10 Cosmic are priced at Rs 12,999 and Rs 10.490 repectively.


Both Stellar Pad Mi-1010 and Smart Tab 10 Cosmic are 10 inch Android 4.1 Jelly Bean tablets available in the market at budget price tags.

Moreover, as they are based on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform they are loaded with software features including Project Butter, expandable and contractible notifications, resizable app widgets, live wallpaper preview, high resolution contact photos, improved Android Beam and many more.

If the concern is on a better display, slightly increased camera performance and a an improved battery backup, the Spice offering could be a better option.

On the other hand, if the concern is on a relatively lesser price tag, the Karbonn tablet should be the right option.
