Swipe Slice Tablet Launched at Rs 4,999: Specs, Price, Availability and More
Last month, California based technology firm, Swipe Telecom launched a budget smartphone Konnect 5.0 in India. Now today, the company has released yet another affordable device in the form of a 7-inch tablet dubbed as Swipe Slice.
Priced at Rs. 4,999, the newly launched Swipe Slice is available online via online retailer Amazon.in in Black, Red, Blue, Yellow and White color options.
This could possibly be the cheapest dual SIM voice-calling tablet available in the market with all the necessary features that a regular phone comes with.

Swipe Slice: Key Specifications
Swipe Slice is a 7-inch tablet with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and features a capacitive touchscreen display. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core MediaTek MT8312 processor with Mali 400 GPU coupled with a lesser 512MB RAM and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) OS.

Other features include: Dual SIM (GSM+GSM) with dual standby, 2MP rear camera, 0.3MP (VGA) front-facing camera, 2G (via SIM card slots), WiFi, Bluetooth, 4GB internal memory, up to 32GB expandable memory with microSD and it comes powered by a 3000 mAh battery.
Talking about the advantages of the tablet, it offers a Dual SIM support, which means that the users will have the ability to make phone calls and receive them as well. Moreover, this is the cheapest Dual SIM tablet one can buy in India at the given price-point.
However, it unfortunately lacks a 3G support, comes with a lesser RAM and an older version of Android Jelly Bean OS.
The Verdict
Since there are number of tablet makers in India whose devices are already been selling in the domestic market, the latest entrant for Swipe might have to battle few of them. To be precise, it's the Micromax Funbook P255 Tablet, Micromax Funbook P280 Tablet and HCL ME Sync 1.0 (U3) Tablet among others that the Swipe Slice might have to stand against. All these tablets come at a very affordable price as well and features similar specs.
