Toshiba Encore 2 Write Windows Tablet Range
Toshiba unleashed two of its Windows OS based tablets in CES dubbed as Encore 2 Write WT10PE-A which flaunts an 8 inch and Encore 2 Write WT8PE-B with an 10.1 inch display (1280×800). Both tablets are based on Windows 8.1 and use an Intel Atom processor. The tablets contain 2GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, and battery life of up to 11 hours along with the priviledge of one-year subscription to Microsoft Office 365.
Dell Venue 8 7840
As technology developes with every second, the world's thinnest tablet is now at 6mm, dubbed as the Dell Venue 8 7840 tablet. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat and features an 8.4-inch Quad-HD (2560x1600) OLED display. It sports a quad-core Intel Atom Z3500 series SoC, clocked at 2.3GHz, alongside a PowerVR G6430 GPU and 2GB of RAM. It packs an 8-megapixel rear camera and a front 2-megpixel shooter. The 16GB of built-in storage on the Dell Venue 8 is expandable via microSD card. Connectivity options include the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Asus Transformer Book Chi Tablets
Asus marked its presence yet again with the announcement of three Windows 2-in-1s with the Transformer Book Chi series. The Transformer Book Chi series is a collection of hybrid Windows devices that act as both laptop and tablet. A 12.5-inch tablet which can be converted into laptop. It is packed with latest Core M CPU from Intel, provides silent fan-less operation and a wide range of vibrant colors on its IPS touchscreen. Available two variant with either 4GB and 8GB RAM with an 128GB internal storage. Coming to the price, the 2560 x 1440 WQHD display variant costs $799 (approx Rs. 50,668) and a 1920 x 1080 variant costs $699(approx Rs. 44,285). With 16.5mm thickness, the T300 Chi is now thinner than the iPad Air. Further, it also sports a 2MP front camera capable of recording 720p videos.
Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2
Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 sports a 8-inch full HD IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels alongwith 10-point multitouch, 178-degree wide viewing angle. It is powered by 1.86 GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3745 processor alongside of 2GB LPDDR3 RAM. The 8-in Yoga Tablet 2 with Windows, featuring Lenovo AnyPen Technology will be available beginning in January with models starting at $299 (Rs 19,000 approx.). with 32GB of built-in memory which can be expandable up to 64GB via microSD card, 8MP auto focus rear camera with f2.2 wide-aperture lens, BSI sensor, 1.6MP HD front-facing camera, Windows 8.1 and powered by 6400mAh battery with up to 18 hours of usage.It has Dual Front large-chamber Speakers, Dolby Audio and Wolfson Master Hi-Fi Codec. Coming to the interesting part, the 8-inch Yoga Tablet 2 powered by Windows features AnyPen Technology.
Lenovo Yoga Tablet 3
Lenovo Yoga 3 comes in both 11-in model or a new 14-in model with a backlit screen. Although the device have comparatively similar design, the performance is anyways going to differ. The 14-inch version runs on Intel's fifth-generation Core processors and can be configured with discrete graphics, while the 11-inch uses a lower-powered Intel Core M chip, allowing for a thinner and lighter build. Moreover, the 14-inch version sports a larger screen than its predecessor and both of them comes standard with a 1080p touchscreen and 802.11ac WiFi, and can be configured with up to 8GB of RAM and either an SSD (128/256GB) or a 500GB hybrid hard drive. It contains the price tag of $699 (approx Rs. 44,320) and $799 (approx Rs. 50,628) respectively.
