Wickedleak was one of the first India based manufacturers to come with an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean based 7 inch tablet - Wammy Desire in 2012. Now GizBot has received an exclusive information pointing to Wickedleak tablet successor. Yes! The vendor is planning to launch its sequel in the next week and that too as soon as May 6, claims an inside source.
The source has informed that Wickedleak is working hard to release a sequel to Wammy Desire - as - Wammy Desire 2. The next generation tablet is tipped to come with a quad core processor, 7 inch display and 1GB RAM and to run on Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean OS. Further, the tablet will be upgradable to Android 4.2.2 in a short span.
Well, as far as the other specs are concerned, the tipster seems to be tight lipped and is keeping the device under closed wraps. So, one has to wait until the launch to get detailed information about the Wammy Desire 2 stuffed with quad core chipset.
Also, the trusted source has informed that Wammy Desire 2 will hit the online shelves at a price of around Rs 10,000 to Rs 11,000, thereby making it reasonable and competitive.
Currently, the original Wammy Desire features a 7 inch capacitive touchscreen display of 800 x 480 pixel resolution, 1.5GHz dual core ARM Cortex A9 processor, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, 0.3MP VGA front camera, 8GB internal storage, 1GB RAM, micro SD card slot, Wi-Fi, 3G through dongle and a 3,000 mAh Li-ion battery offering up to 6 hours backup and is priced at Rs 6,499.
