It was back in January when Xolo revealed its first ever Windows 8.1 tablet- Xolo Win. And now we're hearing that the much speculated device will go on sale in India tomorrow via Flipkart.
Flipkart today tweeted "the Xolo Win Tablet releases tomorrow with exciting launch offer," confirming the launch of this 10-inch tablet. The 32GB variant of Xolo Win tablet will hit the e-retailer at a price point of Rs. 19,990.
Xolo Win -- Highlighted Specifications
Talking about its specs sheet, the Xolo Win features a 10.1 inch display with a resolution of 768 x 1366 pixels. It is powered by a AMD A4 Elite Mobility processor ("Temash" generation at 1.0 GHz) with Radeon HD 8180 graphics coupled with a 2 GB RAM with a 32 GB MultiMediaCard (MMC) reader.
The tablet also comes with a 2MP rear camera and a 1MP front-facing shooter. The makers have added a decent 3550 mAh battery, which according to the company will offer a battery life of 7 hours.
The Xolo Win comes pre-installed with Microsoft Office apps, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Outlook.
Xolo Win -- To Buy or Not to Buy
Let's not forget that the Xolo Win will be the first Windows 8.1 tablet to be made available in India under Rs. 20,000 price slab, making it even cheaper than Acer's Iconia W4 slate ( now available at Rs. 24,700) . It is worth nothing that the tablet market is currently dominated by the likes of Samsung, Asus, Apple, among others.
Interest in Windows 8 tablets is not much, since very few players sell these slates into Indian market. However, the Xolo Win could drive interest in Windows 8 OS but we'll have to wait before we see how consumers respond to the tablet.
