While the Redmond giant Microsoft has announced the end of Internet Explorer on one side, the Indian subsidiary of the same company has launched its 3rd gen and 4th gen Hybrid devices under Microsoft Surface Pro series.

For the uninitiated, the Microsoft Surface Pro series is a 2-in-1 detachable tablet that is designed and manufactured by Microsoft. Today, the Microsoft India has launched both Surface Pro 3 and 4 tablets at a price of Rs. 73,990 and Rs. 89,990 respectively.

Coming to the features, the Surface Pro 4 also supports Windows Hello face authentication using the camera as well as a fingerprint sensor on a new Type Cover for the Surface Pro 4. On the operating system, both the device is shipped with Windows 10 out of the box.

Meanwhile the Surface Pro 3 and Pro 4,tablets will be available exclusively on Amazon India. The pre-orders starts from today, while the shipment starts from January 14th.

Meanwhile, in the Surface Pro 4th edition, the company has given three choices to choose from on the processor front- 6th Gen Intel Core m3 with HD graphics 515, Intel i5 with HD graphics 520 and Intel i7 with Iris graphics processor. In terms of RAM, this Surface Pro 4 comes in 4GB, 8GB, or 16GB RAM.

What's different: While comparing both the hybrid tablets, Microsoft has offered various choices in terms of processing unit and RAM storage in the Surface Pro 4 edition.

Talking about the storage, the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is equipped with inbuilt storage of 128GB HDD, while the Surface Pro 4 offer the consumers with 4 different variants - 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB SSD.

What's different: While the 3rd Gen tablet comes with 128GB HDD (Hard Disk Drive), the Surface Pro 4 comes with 4 different variant with SSD (Solid State Drive). With the incorporation of SSD, the Surface Pro 4 tends to be faster, less noisy, low energy consumption, and mainly no mechanically moving parts.
