Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 to be Unveiled on September 1: 5 Features We Expect to See

While Samsung is circulating in rumors for the launch of the Galaxy Note 7 on August 2, Eldar Murtazin, a Russsian journalist, has tweeted that the company will announce a tablet in September.

Well, on September 1, Samsung is tipped to launch the third generation tablet, Galaxy Tab S3 and this is likely to coincide with the IFA 2016 tech show. This is the first time that the exact unveiling date of the tablet has surfaced online.

The Galaxy Tab S3 will succeed the Galaxy Tab S2 that went official in the third quarter of the last year. Though the yesteryear model features a lighter design, improved TouchWiz software, and a decent display, it has not helped Samsung get the top spot. We can expect the Galaxy Tab S3 to take the company to the top spot.

Alleged Galaxy Tab S3 Press Render Leaks

As of now, nothing much about the Galaxy Tab S3 is known, but a leaked picture from a reliable source has confirmed the deign of the upcoming tablet. Last week, the Twitter leakster @evleaks leaked the alleged press render of the Galaxy Tab S3.

The device in the render looks a lot like the Galaxy Tab S2. It seems to have a home button at the front below the screen. The display seems to have 4:3 aspect ratio and it appears to be made of plastic.

2 Screen Sizes Expected

From the leaked render, it is likely that the upcoming tablet will arrive in two variants - one with an 8-inch display and the other with a 9.7-inch display as in its prequel. The same has been tipped earlier this year as well by the Indian import/export tracking website Zauba.

Hardware is also Tipped

Despite the plastic back, the Galaxy Tab S2 was a nice device, but its sequel will be a worthy device only if it receives a spec upgrade. Apart from the display, the tab is alleged to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor that is teamed up with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of native storage capacity. There appears to be a 4,000 mAh battery operating under its hood.

A Decent Camera to be Seen

The rumors also suggest that it will arrive featuring an 8 MP main camera and a 2 MP front-facer.

Pricing Leaks

The Zauba listing for the Galaxy Tab S3 has revealed that the models are SM-T719 and SM-T813 sporting 8-inch screen and 9.7-inch displays respectively. The listing also shows that the tablets could be priced at $204 (approx. Rs 14,000) for the smaller one and $255 (approx. Rs 17,000).
