After having unveiled the MediaPad M2 8.0 last year, Huawei has now launched a successor tablet in the form of the MediaPad M2 10.0 at the CES 2016.
For those unaware valuable inputs regarding this upcoming tablet had come from reputed tipsters @evleaks and @SoumiMobiili just hours before the official launch. In fact @SoumiMobiili had spilled the beans regarding the upcoming tablet even before the official Huawei launch.
The Huawei MediaPad M2 10.0 has an aluminium alloy metal unibody design with curved edges and rich sandblasted finished back. Upfront the latest slate from Huawei sports a 10.1 inch Full HD (1920x1200p) IPS display with a pixel density of 224ppi. Under the hood the MediaPad M2 tablet is powered by a 2GHz octa core Kirin 930 SoC (same as the one seen inside the Honor 6).
This is strapped with 2GB/3GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of on-board storage. It's worth noting that the tablet also come with a memory expansion slot which can support MicroSD card upto 128GB.
In terms of optics, the Huawei MediaPad M2 10.0 features a 13MP AF rear with LED Flash and a 5MP Selfie Snapper. Additionally the device comes with Harman/Kardon audio system to deliver a top notch audio output.
The higher end variant of the Huawei tablet also comes with an active stylus. It worth noting that the Huawei MediaPad M2 will be available in two variants - 4G and Wi-Fi only. Huawei has however been quite generous with the battery by bundling a large 6600mAH cell on the inside.
The Huawei MediaPad M2 10.0 runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 on top with the company's own eMUI 3.1 on top. In terms of connectivity the 10.1 inch slate from Huawei is expected to come with 4G LTE support besides Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/n/ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS.
Huawei MediaPad M2 10.0 16GB ROM/2GB RAM variant comes in silver color and is priced at $399 (Rs 26,545 approx.) while the 64GB ROM/3GB RAM variant comes in gold color with a price tag of $469 (Rs 31,200 approx.) Both the variants have a Wi-Fi only version which costs $349 (Rs 23,200 approx.) and $419 (Rs 27,875 approx.) for the 32GB and 64GB variants respectively.
