LG has unveiled the second generation model of its G Pad tablet which was introduced last year. Dubbed as the LG G Pad 2 and with model number LGV498, this is an 8.0-inch tablet that has been made official on the company's site for its home country Korea. The listing has revealed the specification details of the LG G Pad 2, though its price and availability details are yet to be disclosed.

As far as its specifications are concerned, the LG G Pad 2 is an upgraded and thinner version of the G Pad. The tablet measures in at 8.95 mm thick, and weighs at 347 grams.

It features an 8.0-inch IPS HD display with resolution of 1280x800 pixels and pixel density of 203 PPI. The display is topped woth Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

Under the hood, there is a 1.2 GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor paired with Adreno 305 GPU to power the device. The chipset is backed by 1.5GB of RAM and a giant 32GB of inbuilt storage space that can be expanded by up to 128GB on microSD card.

Speaking of camera, the tablet adorns a 5MP primary camera paired with 2MP front-facing selfie snapper, both of which are capable of recording videos.

The LG G Pad 2 comes equipped with a Li-Polymer 4200 mAh battery that should be good to last a day.

In terms of connectivity, the tablet support 3G network on SIM, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0 with LE, Wi-Fi Direct, and GPS with A-GPS.

As for software, it runs Android Lollipo out of the box, and comes with several other features like Microsoft Office subscription.
