Microsoft releases firmware update for Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 with Windows Hello
Microsoft has released a new firmware update for Surface Book and Surface Pro 4, two of its new devices that are likely to start shipping this week as projected.Both the Surface Book and the Surface Book Pro 4 were introduced at the company's official hardware event held on October 6.
The Surface Tablets are now available for pre-order, as the first set of units will arrive at the door steps of customers by this week.So the new firmware version lands just in time as users can update their Surface devices as they unbox their new devices and see if updates are waiting to be installed. The update includes several big improvements, including the addition of Windows Hello and is a recommended installation.

Windows Hello!
The Windows Hello for the Windows 10 devices makes it possible to authenticate bio-metric identity. The new firmware for the Surface Book and the Surface Pro 4 allows owners to authenticate their devices using bio-metric authentication.The new firmware version has all the patches and updates to get your devices to make them work as perfectly as intended.
Microsoft explains in the description of this version:
"This firmware and driver package contains drivers for all of the components in the Surface Book, as well as updates to the system firmware that have been released via Windows Update. These drivers and firmware are compatible with Windows 10, including Enterprise versions."
"The driver MSI and ZIP files include all of the drivers and firmware needed to deploy custom images of Windows on your Surface devices. For convenience, the Ethernet dongle drivers are included as separate packages, but are also included in the ZIP and MSI. Additionally, the WinTab driver is provided for those professionals needing WinTab compatibility with certain Surface Pen enabled applications."
Microsoft will notify users for all possible updates and patches as owners would not have to tinker much but just press the install button and watch the two Surface tablets receive all the updates and patches. Users can additionally update their Surface Tablets by clicking on the relevant update links.
