Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Announced With Surface Pen And StaffPad App
As expected Microsoft launched the Surface Pro 4 at an event in New York today. The Redmond giant has already launched their Microsoft Band 2 and the Lumia 950 siblings at the event. The Microsoft Surface series had always been targeted at the enterprise consumers.
The latest gen convertible comes with a Fingerprint sensor on the keyboard. With the Fingerprint sensor being bundled into even mid-range devices of present date, it isn't surprising to find Microsoft including it in their Surface Pro 4.

The 12.3 inch convertible supports 1024 pressure points for the stylus. The Surface Pro 4's dockable keyboard comes with an improved design language too. The keyboard now has better key spacing and also comes with a thinner cover.
The display of the Surface Pro 4 comes with a 5 million pixels and 267ppi. In fact Microsoft claims that the display of the convertible uses a technology dubbed the Pixel Sense. In terms of protection the Surface Pro 4 comes with a 0.4mm Gorilla Glass screen.

On the back of the display is a 1.1m backlight unit and Microsoft's Pen and Touch chipset. As expected the Surface Pro 4 comes with an improved Pen which can now be docked to the side of the device via a magnetic strip.
The Pen looks rather similar to the one found in the Pro 3. However it now comes with a built in eraser! The Redmond giant have also integrated their Cortana onto the Pen. You can now open Cortana with a simple press of button on the side of the Pen. Further, the Pen come with 5 color options including a gold one.
Microsoft has also launched a new docking station for the Surface Pro 4 which comes with four USB 3.0, two 4K Display and an Ethernet port. Next up is the new Type Cover for the Surface Pro 4 which also extends support to the last gen Surface Pro 3. It's in fact lighter, thinner and sturdier.
The Type Cover comes with a Glass TrackPad which also integrates a Fingerprint Scanner on the side. The TrackPad is also 40 percent larger than the previous one.
Microsoft is still touting their new Surface Pro, with the year old tagline - "It will replace your laptop". The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 starts at $899 approx Rs. 60,000 and will go sale starting October 27. Pre-order starts from October 7
