This year's Computex is already up and running with a number of big names coming to the front with their own products that are expected to arrive later down the year. And with more and more tech now coming to the front, we can only expect an eventful year ahead of us.
This year's Computex event in Taipei, the capital of the Republic of China, is currently happening at the same time frame as that of Apple annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) event for 2014. And needless to say that although both the events are quite important, both are getting the kind of recognition they deserve.
Computex, as you may already know, is only the world's second largest trade show with a number of big name companies such as Asus, Acer and HP making most out of it to introduce fans on what to expect next.
Here we take a look at all the things that Asus introduced during its presentation at the Computex 2014.
Asus announced the thin and light ASUS ZenBook NX500 at this year's Computex event. It is basically a 15.6-inch Ultrabook that packs a 3840 x 2160 screen, Core i7 processor, discrete NVIDIA GeForce GTX 850 graphics and up to 16GB of RAM -- all this in quite a thin and light frame.
Asus announced a new 4K monitor at this year's Computex. The monitor is known as the ProArt PA328Q and is basically a 4K monitor with HDMI 2.0 connectivity. The monitor is also factory pre-calibrated for unmatched color accuracy with 10-bit color and 100% sRGB.
The Asus RT-AC3200 is basically a new router from the company that promises to deliver the world's fastest Wi-Fi. The router supports Broadcom 6-stream 802.11ac 5G Wi-Fi with Smart Connect automatically maximizing the overall performance. It also comes bearing AiProtection with Trend Micro for total security.
The Asus Fonepad 8 is the new mobile device from Asus which, according to the company, has been "designed to maximize your viewing experience." The revamped Fonepad comes bearing the latest 64-bit quad-core Intel Atom Processor for powerful performance, apart from offering world's narrowest bezel design in 8-inches.
The Asus MeMO Pad 8 is the new 8-inch tablet offering from Asus with 1280x800 HD IPS display for excellent outdoor reading. The device itself is powered by quad-core processor that will offer even smoother performance. The device also 5 MP rear camera and 1.2 MP front camera to take care of the imging section.
Basically a "refined extension" of the existing MeMoPad HD7 (ME173), the new Asus MeMO Pad HD 7 will be out in Taiwan at the end of this week. More details on the countries of release are yet to be released.
Asus' Transformer Book T300 Chi is a new device in the Transformer Book lineup. It's a 12.5-inch tablet that's powered by Intel's future high-performance and low power Core architecture, apart from offering 4G support.
This one is probably the most intense of all releases made by Acer. Apparently, the Asus Transformer Book V seamlessly integrates Three devices, two operating systems and five modes. It's also offers the world's first Intel Moorefield 5in 4G/LTE smartphone.
