After a long wait, Reliance finally launched its much-anticipated Jio 4G network services for the Indian consumers and since then, it has been the talk of the town. The company's aggressive pricing strategy for 4G data services is what sets it apart from other network providers in the country.
In addition to affordable data services, it also provides free voice calls, premium multimedia content, and a few other mobile applications all without charging you a single penny.
Here's a list of reasons why you should switch to Jio 4G network as quickly as possible.
While launching the Jio 4G services, Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance industries announced that they won't be charging their users for voice calls. He stated that "pay for only one service - either voice or data, not both." The fact that you won't be charged for voice calls even while you are roaming is the icing on the cake.
You will get access to a suite of services for free alongside the affordable 4G data services until the 31st of December this year. These services include free access to Jio's Wi-Fi hotspots, free voice calls, unlimited 4G and messages. You will also get access to a plethora of Jio's mobile apps available for both Android and iOS.
Reliance already has a good number of smartphones launched under the LYF sub-brand. They are available for a starting price as low as Rs. 2,999. And the best part is all of these phones are 4G enabled. So, if you don't want to burn a hole in your pocket and still want a 4G capable phone then, Relianceis there to serve you.
In comparison to other telecom companies in India, Jio is offering very low monthly plans. For Rs. 499, Jio is offering 4GB of 4G data which should easily cater your needs for a month provided you have an internet connection at the office or home. Do make a note that the company is offering unlimited data in the night for downloads and voice calls are free anyway.
Jio is offering free access to its services like JioBeats, JioOnDemand, JioPlay, JioMags, JioXpressNews for streaming music and downloads, movies, live Tv, magazines, and news respectively (all of which put together will cost you around Rs, 15,000 for a year). Note that all these services are free for a year, we will have to wait and see how much the company will charge after a year.
Currently, all the existing telecom providers in India charge extra money on a few holidays like festivals, new year eve etc. Jio made it clear that it won't charge extra money for these blackout days and the charges will remain same as on any other day.
As far as 4G data is concerned, Jio offers the best tariff plans currently in India. They are priced very low comparatively and offer a good value. Check out the tariff plans in the above image.
