As the storm of Reliance Jio continues to sweep all other telcos with its recent announcement on free voice call for the lifetime, the biggest competitor Airtel again has come up with a new blow. This time no tricks behind.
Reportedly, Airtel is ready to announce a new 4G plan at half rate where prepaid subscribers will get 2GB 4G data at a cost of Rs. 153. Here're all the details you need to know about the Rs. 153 plan.
How to Avail The Plan?
As we have already told, only Airtel prepaid customers can avail this plan. All they have to do is to make a Rs. 153 recharge online or from offline Airtel outlets. Instantly they will be credited with 2GB 4G data.
28 Days of Validity
The Rs.153 4G data plan has a total validity of 28 days. However, the pack is only valid for limited circles, which will be announced by the company in coming days.
How Different is This Plan from Reliance Jio?
Now if you are thinking what makes this plan so unique from Reliance Jio, then let us tell you, RJio also has a similar plan of 2GB 4G data which includes unlimited night usage along with a host of other goodies, like free voice calling and more. But here's the catch- the validity of Reliance Jio's pack is only 21 days and customers should recharge for Rs. 299 to avail the offer.
If we compare the offer with Jio's announced data tariff, Airtel's latest offering is still 50% cheaper.
This means Somewhat Airtel vs Airtel
If we look at the current market scenario where Airtel is playing its cards, recently the Mittal-owned company has launched offers like 1GB data at Rs. 129 or 15GB 4G Data at Price of 1GB and much more. These offers are still the talk of the town. However, users have to pay for a large amount of money to avail the offers at such a low cost.
But this time, it's all different. If we closely look at the offers this Rs. 153 for 2GB data plan can beat all others with a knockout. All because it has no hidden cost, and it is providing the same amount of data at a half price compared to Airtel's regular 2GB price.
Same Goes with Other Telcos
Not only Reliance Jio, all other incumbents like Vodafone, Idea Cellular, BSNL, MTS India predominantly offer 1GB 4G/3G data for a price of around Rs. 150. However, customers are required to spend more than Rs. 250 in order to get the benefits.
