Reliance Jio Dongle 2 is Out at Rs. 1,999: Here Are 5 Things to Know About It
Lately, Reliance Jio launched the JioFi 2 wireless hotspot device that replaced the first generation JioFi model. Now, within a month's time, the company has launched another device called Jio Dongle 2.

Well, the Jio Dongle 2 is a USB-powered Wi-Fi hotspot. You can get it from the Reliance Digital stores and use it along with the Jio SIM. It will let you connect to the internet and enjoy the benefits of the Welcome Offer that is bundled with the Reliance Jio 4G SIM without even using a 4G compatible phone.

No inbuilt battery pack
The JioFi 2 has a battery of 2,300 mAh capacity and the JioFi first generation device has a 2,600 mAh battery. These devices have a battery life of up to 5 hours and 8 hours respectively. However, the Jio Dongle 2 doesn't have an inbuilt battery pack.
Plug it to get Wi-Fi signal
As there is no battery in it, the Jio Dongle 2 needs to be connected to a laptop or a power source to let it generate a Wi-Fi signal. The packaging is cylindrical in shape and the device looks like a normal dongle.
You can enjoy making HD calls too
Like the other JioFi devices, with the Jio Dongle 2 too, you can make HD voice calls from your non 4G smartphones using the Jio4GVoice app. The only condition is that your device should be connected to the Jio Wi-Fi hotspot.
Jio Dongle 2 supports up to 10 devices
The Jio Dongle 2 lets you connect up to 10 Wi-Fi enabled devices to the internet using the Jio network. It works like any other wireless hotspot devices launched by Jio earlier and it can create a hotspot like them.
