Reliance Jio left no stone unturned with the announcement of its 4G SIM in September. Due to the many benefits of the Jio SIM including the Welcome Offer that bundles free and unlimited 4G data, calls and messages apart from the app access, most mobile users in the country are using a Jio SIM.
However, with the rise in the number of Jio SIM users, there are mixed reviews regarding the SIM as the service is hampered by many issues such as slow 4G speed, call drop issues, poor customer support, and others. The ratings of the Jio SIM have dropped significantly because of its cost effective traits.
The Jio SIM is still in the beta phase and we need to wait for the commercial release of the same that will mostly happen in January 2017. Apart from the Jio SIM, the service provider is planning to come up with many things including the DTH and broadband services.

The Reliance Jio broadband service is already in the testing phase in a few cities such as Delhi and Mumbai. It is claimed to render a superior speed of 1 Gbps broadband service to the users. Of course, this speed will definitely outshine the existing competition in this segment, but its not a joke to maintain this high-speed connectivity.

Reliance Jio is reportedly planning to launch the broadband service using FTTH (Fiber to the Home) as it will employ fiber optics for the broadband connection. The reason is that the data travels more by means of light than electricity thereby rendering incredible connectivity speed.
GigaFiber broadband hardware to have a set-top box too
The Jio GigaFiber hardware is likely to include a set-top box and a bunch of other options for content users and gamers to access the options easily. The highlight of this set-top box will be its characteristic speed that will let users stream 4K videos. The set-top box offered by Reliance Jio will double as a router and will connect up to 44 devices simultaneously.
Jio TV service is also included
The Jio TV service will offer 350 different channels of which around 50 will be HD channels. The highlight is that if you miss any show, you can record the same and watch it later. There is a feature that will activate the automatic storage of the TV content for a week without clogging up the memory as all these shows will be stored in the Jio services.

The Jio MediaShare feature is one of the best attractions of this plan. It lets users to share different types of media across the connected devices. There is also an option to make a media switch without losing the data. In case you are watching a film on your laptop, you can watch the same on your TV without having to resume from the beginning.
