Reliance Jio Offers Free International Calls? Check Out
Reliance Jio was officially launched to the general public on September 1. Along with that, the company also revealed 'Welcome Offer' where every user will be offered to enjoy free Jio services until December 31.
At the same time, Mukesh Ambani even announced the tariff plans for both prepaid and postpaid. One of the major announcement was the free voice calling to every carrier. That being said, the carrier uses mobile data to make calls, which is termed as 'VoLTE'.

Mystery shrouded over the international calling. The International Roaming Pack Costs Rs. 358/MB for Top-Tier Countries
The official plan shows that the service will cost you Rs. 358 for each MB of data consumed when calling to other countries. This is kind of weird because other telecom services offer much better plans than this. We suggest you to take this with a pinch of salt because the packs might change after December 31.
Incoming International Roaming Calls Cost Ranges from Rs. 19 to Rs. 190
In terms of incoming international calls, the service will cost you Rs. 19 for incoming calls from Bangladesh and Rs. 49 for several US based countries. However, some countries even cost you Rs. 190 for each minute of calling, which is very huge.

Outgoing International Calls Are Cheap Compared to Incoming Calls
When we compare the outgoing international calls, they are kind of cheap. You can call any country you wish starting Rs. 11 and the rate differ from country to country.
Outgoing SMS Rates
According to us, every telecom network in India costs Rs. 5 for international outgoing SMS and free for incoming SMS. That isn't the case with Reliance Jio, the outgoing SMS for several countries start at Rs. 11 and cost as much as Rs. 48. Seriously, Jio? That's just insane pricing.

How to Activate International Roaming Service Right Now?
For now, you can't make a call to any international country because the service is still under testing phase. We expect the international roaming will kickstart from January 1, 2017, however, there is no word from Reliance yet.
