There is frustration among users for Jio SIM and SIM activation. Jio has announced the Aadhar based eKYC verification process that will activate the SIM in just 15 minutes. EKYC activation

If you haven't got a Reliance Jio SIM, you can wait for the eKYC activation to be made available in the nearest Jio Store. This way, you need not wait for a long time to get the SIM activated.

Got Jio SIM and order SMS

If you have got both the Jio SIM and the order SMS, you need to dial 1977 from a VoLTE enabled phone or 1800-890-1977 from an alternate number asnd enter the last 4 digits of the documents you have submitted. This is for data activation. For voice service activation, you must call 1977 from a VoLTE phone or use the JioJoin app and enter the last 4 digits of the documents. This way, you will get the SMS confirmation instantly.

Got Jio SIM, but no SMS

In this case, you must call back the Jio Store as there is nothing much that can be done. Visit the Reliance Store from where you obtained the SIM card and ask them to activate the service.

Jio SIM is activated, but there's 2 GB cap on data limit

If there is a 2 GB cap on the data limit on your Jio SIM, you need to convert it to unlimited with a trick. In general, Jio will initially give you only 2 GB of 4G data, 100 SMS and 100 minutes of call.
