Reliance Jio big announcement - Happy New Year offer until March 31, 2017.
The much-awaited announcement is finally here. Yes! Reliance Jio head Mukesh Ambani has finally unveiled the secret and declared that free and unlimited Jio services will be extended until March 2017 with their new Happy New Year offer, and doesn't end with Welcome Offer on December 31, 2016.
The new entrant of the telecom sector, Reliance Jio has finally answered the most awaited question by announcing the expansion of their free and unlimited service till March 31, 2017. Well, its not Welcome Offer 2 as it was speculated to be, instead the company is calling the new free offer as "Jio Happy New Year Offer".

The Reliance Jio chief addressing the press today announced to work towards making the country go digital by enhancing and facilitating cashless transactions.
Ambani also appreciated PM Narendra Modi's move to put a ban on the high denomination notes in order to wash off black money from the country and combat corruption, and also working on the motto of "Digital India".
Alongside this, the Reliance Jio head claimed that the company now fully supports mobile portability, which means that all the customers can retain their existing mobile number when migrating to Jio.
The speech initiated by driving the audience to the fact that Reliance Jio has changed the telecom industry drastically, and has become the fastest growing technology company in a span of 3 months not only in India but worldwide.

The most highlighted and the biggest announcement by Ambani was the extension of the Welcome Offer to the Happy New Year Offer, which is said to deliver free service to all users, be it existing or new ones until March 31, 2017.
It is said that the existing users can avail the new Happy New Offer on their current SIMs cards, and that the existing users will automatically be updated to this offer.

Hence, it is now officially that Reliance Jio will be absolutely FREE and UNLIMITED, whereby the users can enjoy the unlimited voice calls, video calls, and suite of Jio application at absolutely no cost until the end of March 2017, starting December 4, 2016.
"Under the Reliance Jio Happy New Year Offer, customers will get 30 times the average usage on other networks FREE until 31 March 2017," exclaims Mukesh Ambani.
He also added that in the wake to support the customers in demonetization, JioMoney will be expanding its reach to millions of touch points where micro-ATMs will be deployed, which will enable digital transactions of all types, be it at mandis, small shops, restaurants, bus or railway ticket counters or anywhere else.
Along with that, there are other announcements where Ambani also asserted that Reliance Jio has attracted 52 million customers, since it hit the market, and also claimed that it has grown faster than that of Facebook, WhatsApp, or Skype, which is surely a big statement by the company chief.

The speech also highlighted that Jio has added 50 million customers on its 4G LTE all-IP wireless broadband network, and that the customers are using 25 times more data as compared to the average Indian broadband users. Along with these declarations, Ambani states that the call block rate of the company has dropped down by nearly 90 percent, to nearly 20 percent yesterday.
On the other hand, talking about the Jio SIM home delivery service, the company head states that they will make the service available through eKYC to nearly 100 cities by December 31. The company is said to be working towards enabling low-value, high-volume transactions, merchants, especially small merchants that are the important components of the country's economy, adds Ambani.
The speech ended with the statement that Reliance Jio is working to empower Indian merchants by building a digital retail ecosystem.
Well, considering all the updates till date, there has been no announcement about the DTH service, 4G LYF Easy feature phones, and other services that the company was rumored to introduce.
