Reliance Jio Welcome Offer to End on December 3: What’s Going to Happen Next?
What’s going to happen with Reliance Jio users after December 3?
We've just entered December and a couple of days from now, Reliance Jio's unprecedented 'Welcome Offer' which offers free 4G data and unlimited voice calling among others will come to an end.
Initially, when the 'Welcome Offer' was launched on September 5, 2016, Reliance Jio had stated that the offer would be valid until December 31, 2016. However, TRAI (The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) announced that it's not possible since a promotional offer cannot be offered for more than 90 days and the 'Welcome Offer' should end on December 3.

And that brings us to the question, what will happen after December 3? Well, that's something we will have to wait and see. But, according to many conjectures that have been making headlines on the internet, one of the following may happen.
Existing Jio users will continue getting free data and voice benefits until December 31
As mentioned earlier, Reliance Jio promised to offer free services until December 31. Furthermore, after the TRAI's announcement, it has also stated that the existing users will continue getting free data and voice benefits until the end of this year as promised.
So, it is likely that users will be able to make use of these free services until the specified timeframe. But, it remains to be seen how Jio will execute it.
New Jio subscribers may have to pay for these services
Though the company had confirmed that existing users would be able to avail free benefits as promised, it hadn't revealed anything about users who subscribe to Jio services after December 3. The chances are that the new subscribers will have to pay to make use of these services or Jio may come up with an entirely new plan which may offer free services until December 31 and then continue using the services by paying rentals.

Reliance Jio Welcome Offer 2?
Of late, rumours have been abuzz that Jio will introduce Welcome Offer 2 which will be valid until March 2017. Essentially, it will be the same old ‘Welcome Offer' re-launched with a new moniker, which apparently seems to be legit considering TRAI's rules and regulations. What this essentially means is that no one (existing and new users) may have to pay until the end of Welcome Offer 2 (if launched). Interesting, right?
Existing and new users may have to start paying for Jio services from December 4
Although highly unlikely both existing and new users may have to pay for using Jio services starting from December 4. Jio may offer apologies to its users and blame TRAI for interrupting the services.
Conclusion
Though it's highly unclear about what's going to happen in the next couple of weeks, it's likely that Jio may transfer all the existing users to a new plan which offers free data and voice benefits like the Welcome Offer does to keep its promise. Having said that, all of this has to be taken with the proverbial pinch of salt, for we don't know what may happen next.
