The Need for Better Response Medium
It is indeed a unique offering from Vodafone India and further stating why it was introduced, P Balaji, Director, Regulatory, External Affairs and CSR, Vodafone India, said in a statement that the speech and hearing impaired users often faced a challenge when they ordered any service like a fleet cab or a parcel from e-shopping platforms.
The driver / courier by default would call their phone to inform them of the arrival, but they would be unable to respond to it, thereby missing out on accessing several such services.
Vodafone's Commitment
He further stated that Vodafone was committed to leverage the potential and reach of mobile technology to drive inclusion and address developmental challenges in the society. The launch of these Caller tunes was the latest example of their endeavour.
Focusing more on Vodafone's initiative, he mentioned that the Vodafone Foundation has diligently worked with its partner Enable India to create this simple solution with a hope of making the daily lives of the specially-abled customers convenient.
He highlighted that this innovative idea was also a small gesture of support to the Government's Vision of Accessible India.
