Xiaomi has eventually launched their first smartwatch in the market, but wait this funky plasticy smartwatch wasn't what most were waiting for. On the contrary Mi Bunny, the company's first smartwatch is aimed squarely at kids.
Mi Bunny, popularly referred to as Mitu Watch brings in a number of intuitive functionality to the table, especially in terms of kids safety. The watch in fact comes with a multitude of parental features just like a few other kids smartwatches available in the market. The USP of the Mi Bunny however lies in 299 Yuan (Rs 3,000 approx.) price tag.

Mi Bunny smartwatch comes in a colour plastic shell and is a markedly light at just 37g. It comes with silicone straps of blue and pink colour to suit the taste of kids. Upfront the smartwatch has a dot matrix LED screen which displays time, emojis and notifications of calls (only from six preset contacts).

The GPS enabled smartwatch allows the parent to keep a track of their kids movement. They also have the option of marking an area of their kids whereabouts zones on the map via an app, so just in case their kids cross that mark the app will notify them.

In a rare occasion if and when your kids land up in any sort of trouble, the watch allows them to send the information to the parents. Apparently the Mi Bunny smartwatch comes with an intuitive feature of recording the surrounding sound (7 secs) and exact location of your kid and sending it across to you.

Mi Bunny smartwatch also comes with a prepaid SIM card that allows your child to call you up or any other present contacts in time of need. Out of the box the Mi Bunny comes with a prepaid mobile balance of 10 Yuan in China.

Xiaomi hasn't limited support of the Mi Bunny smartwatch to only its own devices, instead the smartwatch is support by both Android and iOS devices alike. The only limitations being that the device should run either Android 4.2 or iOS 8 at minimum.
