Search engine giant Google has officially launched Maps for the Android wear users. Now the users can give the "Ok Google" voice command to open Google Maps.
Google said that thanks to the always-on screen support, your map view remains on your wrist in battery-saving mode, even when you're not actively looking at your screen.
Further, the company has also added a bunch of apps with Maps to offer improved navigation experience including Glympse, Trulia, Zillow, Foursquare, Tripadvisor, HotelTonight and others will offer relevant information on your smartwatch itself.
Few months back, the company has announced Maps API for Android Wearables in the I/O developer conference. Before that, the Android Wear received a major update with features like Wi-Fi support, always-on apps, ability to hand-draw emojis on your smartwatch screen, and gesture controls such as flick of the wrist to scroll through a feed.
