After having launched the 2nd edition of their LG Urbane Watch in their homeland, the Korean electronics is finally all but set to roll it to international markets.
The LG Urbane Watch 2nd edition is apparently the first smartwatch to come with LTE support and comes with a 1.38" display which comes with 348ppi. LG has used a PLED display which is further protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Under the hood of the Urbane watch is a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC coupled with an Adreno 305 GPU. This is complimented by a 768MB LPDDR3 RAM and a 4GB of eMMC internal storage.
The LG Urbane 2nd edition watch comes with a hairline etched-stainless steel body. Additionally the smart watch comes with IP67 certification for resistance against water and dust. The Korean electronics giant has stuffed its smart watch with a number of sensors including 9-Axis Gyrometer, Acclerometer, GPS, Compass, Barometer and even a Heart Rate Sensor. The smart watch runs on Android Wear OS and is compatible with smartphones running Android 4.3 (Jellybean) and upwards.
The LG Urbane Watch 2nd edition comes in four colour variants - Space Black, Opal Blue, Luxe White and Signature Brown. As per report the Watch will be rolling out in USA and Korea in the first round followed by other key markets including Europe and Asia in the coming months. Expect the LG Urban Watch to enter India by the early next year. Furthermore LG is yet to out the price of the smart watch and will only do so locally in respective markets.
