Today, the company has marked the entry into the Virtual Reality arena with the announcement of Mi VR headset. What has been unveiled is just the prototype of the device and there might be some changes in the original VR headset.
This Mi VR is basically a cardboard box that that has basic VR setup including the VR glass lenses just like Google cardboard but in a beta stage.
As per the company, the Mi VR uses zipper design and covered with the lycra cotton material, which helps the smartphone ranging from 4.7-inch to 5.7-inch to fit in easily.
To make it even more interesting, the Mi VR will have an exclusive app that provides more content including -- panoramic video, 3D movies, games and other applications.
The Xiaomi Mi VR headset is now up for pre-order at $29.99 (approx Rs. 2,007) in China as of now. Meanwhile, we don't have any information about the pricing and availability of the Mi VR headset in India as of now.
Recently, Xiaomi has been getting into new markets with a whole range of products including Air-purifiers, Drones, and introduced its first laptop namely Mi Notebook Air in the market. Besides, the company has launched the Redmi Pro with dual camera setup in China and Redmi 3s and 3s Prime in the Indian market yesterday.
