Vive VR Headset by HTC
Smartphone maker, HTC has partnered with video-game company - Valve Software to introduced a VR headset called - the Vive headset. The VR headset uses lasers to track the location within a space and makes it possible to roam around while using the headset.
Rift and Oculus Touch
Facebook-owned Oculus, showcased its first consumer headset, Rift and a pair of hand controllers, which is planned to release next year. The headset sports two OLED displays, allowing a wide field of view and a speaker for each ear. While, the controllers are enabled with hand gestures like dragging objects, pointing and waving.
HoloLens
Microsoft HoloLens, is referred as augmented reality than virtual reality, as it intended to blend 3D virtual visuals within the real world. It is still not clear, when the company will release the HoloLens for public.
Google Cardboard
Google released its VR headset, to experience the virtual reality in a simple, fun and affordable way. It's a VR experience starting with a simple viewer anyone can build or buy. Once you have it, you can explore a variety of apps that unfold all around you.
Samsung Gear VR
Samsung released the latest version its Gear VR headset, which users Samsung smartphone as a display. The headset supports the Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 Edge+.
