Xiaomi claims to have shipped over 10 million smartphones in September
Xiaomi seems to have achieved a major milestone in sales.
It looks September has been a big one for the Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi. We say so as the company has shipped over 10 million units of smartphones in the last month across all the markets where it officially operates.

This information was revealed by the CEO of Xiaomi, Lei Jun. He has thanked the employees and partners while sharing the announcement. Besides managing to ship over 10 million units of smartphones globally, the company has achieved a major milestone in the Indian market as well. In just three years of entering India, the company has shipped over 25 million units of smartphones here. This was announced by the company's India had, Manu Kumar Jain.
The huge leap in sales comes as the Indian Mi fans have started their festive season shopping. To be specific, in India, during the first two days of Flipkart Big Billion Days Sale and Amazon Great Indian Sale in September, Xiaomi sold over million smartphones. This is a major leak for the company in terms of sales as the company took 18 days to sell one million units of smartphones in the last year.
Xiaomi is one of the manufacturers that offer smartphones with the best hardware at aggressive price points. Recently, the company has shifted its focus to other categories. We say so as the company recently launched the Xiaomi Mi A1, its first Android One smartphone in India. The Xiaomi Mi A1 is priced at Rs. 14,999 and is available via both online and offline in the country. The device is designed based on the Mi 5X and so it features a dual camera setup at its rear.
Also, Xiaomi announced the Mi Mix 2 and Mi Note 3 in the last month. It has been announced officially by the company that the bezel-less Mi Mix 2 will be coming soon to India. And, the fans in the country are eagerly awaiting the launch of the same.
