Sony Expands Pro memory Card Line-up with New CFast Range
The CFast cards support write speed of up to 510 MB/s and can read speed of 530MB/s, Sony's G Series CFast reduces the time it takes to transfer RAW files, long 4K video and high-resolution images.
Sony India today launched a range of its CFast memory cards, which are designed for professional photography and video recording. The G Series CFast 2.0 memory cards will be available in 32GB (CAT-G32), 64GB (CAT-G64) and 128GB (CAT-G128) storage capacities, to meet the requirement of DSLR and 4K cameras. The cards offer writing speeds of up to 510MB/s and read speeds of up to 530MB/s and join a range of media that includes internal SSDs, XQD and SxS cards, as well as the fast SD card.
Write speed of up to 510MB/s
Sony's G Series supports high-speed burst shooting of high-resolution RAW image. The CFast cards support write speed of up to 510 MB/s, maximizing the capability of high-end DSLR cameras like the Canon 1DX Mark 2, claims the company.
Fast read speed
With a fast read speed of 530MB/s, Sony's G Series CFast reduces the time it takes to transfer RAW files, long 4K video and high-resolution images to a PC.
4K video recording with VPG130 support
The new CFast cards support VPG130 for the recording of 4K video. A minimum write speed of 130MB/s is guaranteed by the company.
Reliable design
The new CFast cards pass through a variety of drop, vibration, shock and rigidity tests. They work across a wide range of temperatures. The CFast comes along with a hard case and Sony File Rescue software, which can be used with a card reader in a Removable Disk setting, the cards can also recover accidentally deleted photos such as RAW images and videos.
Availability and Price
The Sony's G Series CFast cards will be available in all Alpha flagship stores, Sony Center and major electronic stores across India. The CFast CAT-G32/T is available for Rs. 7,400; CAT-G64/T is available for Rs. 11,400; CAT-G128/T is available for Rs. 22,100
