OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z3 Review: The ₹1,699 Neckband That Gets the Basics Right
While the world's obsessing over TWS earbuds with transparent cases and gimmicky AI features, OnePlus quietly dropped something refreshingly simple: the Bullets Wireless Z3. A neckband earphone that doesn't try to wow you with specs, but nails everyday use better than many pricier alternatives.
At ₹1,699, expectations are low. And that's probably why it ends up overdelivering.
- Lightweight, all-day comfort
- Fast, stable pairing
- Punchy, clear sound
- Outstanding battery life
- Sweat, water resistant
- Magnetic auto-pause control
- No dual pairing
- Distorts at max
- Mushy volume buttons
- Exposed charging port

Design & Build: Light, Minimal, Familiar
The Z3 keeps the classic OnePlus neckband silhouette. It's just 26g, soft to the touch, and easy to forget you're even wearing it after a while. The matte plastic finish is consistent throughout-including the earpiece, which helps with comfort during longer sessions.
Magnetic earbuds snap together when not in use and pause/play music automatically-a small but welcome touch that still feels intuitive. The buttons, however, are a mixed bag. Only the play/pause button feels tactile; the volume keys are silent and squishy, which might throw you off initially.

The biggest design miss? An uncovered USB-C port. For a device meant to be tossed in bags or worn during sweaty runs, the lack of a flap feels careless. It's IP55-rated, so sweat or drizzles aren't an issue. But long-term durability might take a hit if dust or moisture creeps in.
Fit & Comfort: No Fuss
You don't need to fiddle much. The default medium tips fit my ears well enough to create a solid passive seal, blocking a decent chunk of ambient noise. There's no active noise cancellation here, but unless you're in loud environments all the time, you won't really miss it.
The neckband sits flat and doesn't tug or bounce while walking. It's comfortable for binge-listening, calls, or even quick runs.
Connectivity: Fast Pairing, But Not Smart Enough
Thanks to Google Fast Pair, setup with Android phones is almost instant. Bluetooth 5.4 ensures stable connection-I didn't face a single dropout during commutes or office calls.

But there's no dual-device pairing, which is a bummer in 2025. Switching between phone and laptop isn't seamless, and that could be a dealbreaker for users who live on Zoom and Spotify simultaneously.
Sound Quality: Surprisingly Good
Let's talk about audio. For the price, it's better than it has any right to be.
- Bass is prominent and satisfying-especially for pop, hip-hop, and casual listening.
- Vocals are clear, mids are warm, and highs are mostly clean until about 80% volume.
- Go beyond that, and you'll hear distortion and muddiness, especially in treble-heavy tracks.
- Instrument separation is average. You'll hear everything, but not with pinpoint clarity.

Still, at this price, it outperforms most entry-level TWS buds. If you value clean, energetic audio over nuance, you'll be happy.
Call Quality: Reliable in Most Conditions
The mic setup uses AI-based environmental noise cancellation, which works better than expected. Indoors, calls sound sharp. Outdoors, it manages to cut down moderate noise like fans or background chatter. It's not studio-grade clarity, but good enough for calls and voice notes without people asking you to repeat yourself.
Battery Life: The Real Flex
OnePlus claims 36 hours of playback, and they don't seem to be exaggerating. I used the Z3 for nearly 10 hours before the battery dipped from 90% to around 40%.

And the fast charging is nuts-just 10 minutes of charge gives you nearly 27 hours of playback. That's not marketing fluff; it actually works. In a world where most TWS buds die mid-flight or gym sessions, this is the neckband's secret weapon.
Verdict: Neckbands Aren't Dead Yet
The OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z3 may not look like much, but it delivers where it matters. Great comfort, long battery life, and punchy sound-all under ₹2,000. In many ways, it's a smarter buy than budget TWS options, especially if you need something reliable for everyday calls and music without frequent charging.

Sure, dual pairing and ANC would've been nice, but at this price, it's hard to complain. Neckbands may not be trendy anymore, but if you're looking for dependability over dazzle, the Z3 gets the job done.
