Made-in-India Sarvam Kaze Smart Glasses Showcased at AI Impact Summit 2026, Could Take on Meta Glasses

Sarvam AI has showcased Sarvam Kaze smart glasses at the AI Impact Summit 2026, held at Bharat Mandapam. During the event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tried on the glasses, which are positioned as an indigenous alternative to smart glasses currently available from global tech brands like Meta.

Sarvam Kaze AI smart glasses: What to Expect

Similar to Meta's smart glasses, the Sarvam Kaze can capture photos and record videos hands-free. The device was showcased in a sleek black finish and appears to feature dual cutouts at the front. One of the front cutouts could function as an indicator to alert people when recording is active.

According to Sarvam AI, the smart glasses aim to shift intelligence away from screens and into real-world interactions. The company describes the experience as seamless – users simply wear the glasses, which can listen, understand, respond, and capture what they see in real time.

Speaking about the product, Pratyush Kumar, CEO of Sarvam AI, said users and developers will also be able to create custom experiences through the Sarvam platform, enabling new applications for AI-powered wearables.

Kumar also spoke about the technology during a conversation with NDTV Managing Editor Shiv Aroor at the inaugural session. He noted that India's workforce is not limited to desks but is constantly on the move, and stressed that the responsibility of technologists today is to ensure technological advancements reach people everywhere.

He added that while technology has advanced rapidly, its real-world deployment still lags behind, and emphasized that it is their responsibility to make these innovations accessible to everyone.

While Meta's smart glasses currently start at around Rs 29,900 in India, it remains to be seen how affordably Sarvam AI will price its upcoming device to attract Indian consumers. The company has confirmed that its first AI wearable will launch in India in May, although the exact launch date and detailed features have not yet been announced.
