How to Check Your PF Balance Without a UAN Number - Step-by-step Guide

If you are a member of the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), you might know how hectic checking your PF balance is sometimes. Even many times I face problems while checking PF balance; sometimes the site is down, and sometimes I forget my UAN number or password.

If you face similar issues, there is an easy way to check your Employees' Provident Fund balance even without your UAN number. Here's how.

How to Check Your PF Balance Without a UAN Number

Most of us know the process of checking PF balance using the EPFO portal. For that, you need a stable internet connection as well as your UAN number and password. But there is an easy way you can check your PF balance without a UAN number using SMS or a missed call. Follow these steps to check your PF balance via SMS.

• Open the Messages app on your Android or iOS device.
• Type EPFOHO UAN ENG and send the SMS to 7738299899.
• Then EPFO will send the latest PF contribution and balance details of the member, along with available KYC information.

The facility is available in ten languages: English (default), Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Bengali. If you want to check in your regional language, you just need to mention the first three letters of your regional language instead of ENG.

Note:

• The SMS should be sent from the registered mobile number of UAN.
• Also, make sure your UAN is activated. Click here to check how to activate the UAN number online.

If you want to check your PF details using the missed call feature, follow these steps:

• Missed call to 9966044425 from their registered mobile number.
• Your call will automatically be disconnected after two rings, and you will receive an SMS with details of your current contribution and total PF balance.

NOTE:

• Your mobile number must be activated with UAN at Unified Portal.
• At least one of the following KYC details must be linked to your UAN: Aadhaar/PAN
